Photo Friday: Caught in a Wave

September 14, 2018

Today’s shot has more to do with timing than anything.  I love seeing what appears in waves right before it curls over.

There is nothing like fighting your way on to an over crowded boat to see amazingly beautiful sea mammals.

First look Photo: In the Mist

January 10, 2018

Thanks to the sub-zero temperatures, recently, Casco Bay has been shrouded in a mist of sea smoke.  This shot was taken during a temperature of -6.  The mist wasn’t quite so heavy, and looked almost haunting.

Day 40: The Littlest Lighthouse

February 2, 2012

The Littlest Lighthouse

Don’t judge my size

I have my place,

I may be small but

I take up less space.

Don’t think your design

Is better or more grand,

When it comes to safer shores

I can still lend a hand.

So let’s work together

To bring ships safely home

Pointing our lights out to sea,

Just don’t judge my size

That’s my only plea.

Day 27: Safely Home

January 20, 2012

Safely Home

Sailing through the sea of life

When the weather gets rough,

It’s easy to get off course

And lose sight of land.

At times like these

It’s nice to know

We have a beacon

To guide us safely home.
