Wanting to try something different, I decided to photograph a flag next to a building, from the base of the flag pole.

First Look Photo: Got Milk?

February 8, 2017

I took today’s photo for a school assignment.  The idea was to Make the bottle, and glass stand out from the background.  The phrase that came to mind, when I saw the assignment, was “A touch of class in a glass.”

Photo Friday: Daily Photo Challenge

December 2, 2016

The way I figure it, if I wish to maximize my photography practice, I need to come up with daily photo challenges.  For my blogs I will pick the best of the week for both days.

I started my first challenge yesterday, and one last night for challenge 2.  The second challenge was better so here it is.  In this challenge I had to do something creative with Christmas lights.  I took a wine glass I used for an earlier school assignment, and positioned the lights at a distance behind it.  I call the piece “Sparkling”.

If you have any ideas for fun photo challenges, let me know.  I will write them down.

Photo Friday: School Assignment

September 16, 2016

I recently did an assignment for school.  The only instructions I received was use a wine glass, and some clear liquid.  It was a lighting assignment, and it was to light it so it brings out the translucent liquid.

After setting up the lights, I realized it looked more like a print ad for Canada dry.  The words would say “The soft drink with a touch of class.”

Now here’s the shot.
