Here’s a view of downtown Portland during a snow storm.

First Look Photo: Winter Tourists

January 11, 2017

I was on a street photography walk, yesterday, and was asked to take a photo of two girls from New York.  They were visiting Portland for a few days, and wanted a picture of both of them.  When I saw a painting on the wall, of a nice mountain scene.  I asked to take their picture, and used the painting.  Instead of a city picture, it looked like they were getting ready to ski.

Out of all the shots I took, I like this the best.

Day 55: For You

February 17, 2012

For You

I wanted to buy you flowers,

But flowers die too soon,

And what would that say

About my feelings for you.

I wanted to buy you silk flowers,

But they’re fake and they get forgotten,

And what would that say

About my feelings for you.

Then I wanted to buy you a diamond,

But diamonds are cold, hard, and from under the ground,

And what would that say

About my feelings for you,

That’s when I decided to give you a hug,

And tell you I love you.

They have no expiration date.

I mean the words

And I am sharing my warmth with you,

And that says more than any THING that I can buy.
