First Look Photo: A Whole New World

March 20, 2019

I recently received a reverse lens adapter ring, to get better macro shots.  I had no idea just how close I could get.  Today’s shot is one of those tests.  With how close I’m able to get, it opens up limitless possibilities.  I can’t wait.

Photo Friday: The Break is Over

March 8, 2019

It has been nearly 5 months since my last blog post, and I know I didn’t explain why I stopped for so long, but here’s the condensed version.  On October 19th my wife suffered a brain aneurism, and she was in the hospital for 3 months.  Since then, I have been helping her with her recovery. The fact that she survived an aneurism was a miracle, but the fact that she has done so with even less long term effects is an even greater one.

So here I am back and ready to resume my special brand of photo blogs.  I hope you all enjoy them.

In starting a new Instagram project, I have begun learning a new passion for fine art photography.  Working in a produce department of Whole Foods has afforded me the opportunity to get plenty of practice.

Photo Friday: To Know a Male

September 21, 2018

Many people still get confused with how to tell a male from a female Monarch butterfly.  All you do is look at the bottom wings.  If there are two black spots along the stripes, it’s a male.  Those spots are for the pheromones.
