Photo Friday: Eye Level to a Slug

Living in Maine, I’ve seen a lot of leopard slugs, but it’s always from a standing position.  One thing I never knew about them is they have a hole on their side called the pneumostome which is what land slugs and snails use to breath.  In order to see this breathing hole I had to get close to eye level.  That is where today’s picture is from; on my stomach, next to a slug.
