Day 88: I Look Up

April 29, 2012

I Look Up

I don’t idolize you

Because you are beautiful,

Beauty doesn’t always last.

I don’t respect you

Because you have money,

Money can’t buy my love.

I don’t love you

Because you are perfect,

Perfection is a dream no man can reach.

I look up to you

Because you gave me the one thing I needed most,

A listening ear.

Relics of a World War

April 16, 2012

These tracks are the only things remaining from the plant that manufactured the liberty ships, that were created for world war two.  The plant itself was dismantled  the rest of the way last year.  The tracks were used to transport Iron to the plant in South Portland.  There is now a memorial to the ships in the buglight park.

New Video: Just warming up

April 14, 2012

A Matter of Perspective

April 13, 2012

One of the greatest abilities humans have is to see something in a random pattern.  With this picture, I was working in the frozen foods section when I saw what looked like a black and white picture of Casco Bay, complete with rocks, the water, a ship, and an island.  I took the picture, then realized that it wasn’t a picture at all, but a metal plate with frost that had developed in a strange pattern.
